JYJ “There’s no regret… It’s a miracle that we came up here.”
“We were fearful and tough but we’ve got a hope and confidence.”

A group JYJ(Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu) expressed a tortuous last year in one word: ‘hope’.
They got out a stable nest for themselves and stood upon their own feet.
They certainly met so many obstacles.
But they had a confidence to their choices and never looked back.
We met JYJ who had an interview with internal medias recently for the first time.
Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu worked TVXQ, the most popular boy band in Asia, for 7 years.
On July 2009, they begun a law suit about an exclusive contract against SM Entertainment.
After that, they worked separately in musical & drama.
And they made JYJ and brought out the worldwide album ‘The Beginning’ in October.
“If there are difficult ways to go, there are definitely easy ways also.
But everything was processed with difficulty.
Because our O1 visas rejection and so many absurd things to happen, we were really at a loss.
But, as a result, we had a good result so it was an energy to us.
We became to dream a hope.”(Junsu)
“Determining the independence, we braced ourselves
but there were so many twists and turns to be beyond our control.
However if we stopped running into the wall, we never came here.
We were fearful, hard and uncomfortable.
But we were together, so reliable each other.
Yuchun’s drama, Junsu’s musical came out well and the result of our showcase was also great.
So if we try to do our best, we are convinced to see brighter lights more than ever.”(Jaejoong)
“It was unconfirmed beginning.
We didn’t enter something to complete and made a new beginning.
So there were many insufficient things but as time goes on
we seemed to confirm in our own way and got achievements in our works.
So it gave us confidence.
For a year, we kept our composure and also had many thinkings.”(Yuchun)
◇”We are happier than before.” = But they didn’t have any regrets at all?
Like their talking, there was nothing to process as planned.
They had a crisis that they might work in Japan and couldn’t appear
on the TV program freely because the trial with SM.
One and a half years after they’ll appear on Public TV
through ‘KBS Drama Awards’ on Dec. 31.
“There’s no regret.
Because we became better than before I never regretted..
But some emotional part is still remaining.”(Yuchun)
“I never regretted…
I don’t know the weight of happiness that I have, but comparing with before..
I can tell you ‘I’m happier than before.’.
There are also lots of things to do.
But we think that it’s a miracle that we came up here despite we can’t work freely.
Because we have fine teamwork.”(Junsu)
“The troubles with company in Japan was happened unexpectedly.
So we were embarassed.
And we thought that it was not reasonable and righteous.
But we have a belief to work out.
We already crossed over many mountains, and will do.”(Jaejoong)
◇Released worldwide album.. Success of showcase in US
JYJ was released their debut album in English.
Like a modifier ‘worldwide’, They have a plan to aim to the US and the Europe across the Asia.
They got luck to work with worldwide musicians, Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins,
and they would be introduced on the front of Billboard Magazine.
They were already top stars in Asia but it was very special experience to them.
And the success of showcase in US was an unreliable thing for themselves.
“The album was released after a long time so we wanted to appeal
to people all around the world, not only Korea and Asia.
There was a difference to song in English but we thought to overcome our efforts.
Because our fans always watch us who challenged in every time from now,
we had no fear about English album.”(Jaejoong)
“I just thought ‘There is a kind of way to work like this…’.
We had a feelings to be free, not to work.
Because real musicians enjoyed making the music, listeners also naturally became to enjoy.
In Asia including Korea, as we were very busy, we worked under the system like that.
The composer stood in core and made everything and then we just accepted it almost all the time.
But it was different.
We had strong feelings to work together from Kanye and Rodney.
We got feelings to start together from zero and to make together.
Since many kinds of ideas came together,
I think that we made high quality and revolutionary songs.”(Yuchun)
“We felt great and also puzzled when we watched on the front of Billboard Magazine.
We couldn’t believe that there were ours among the news
about the best singers, as we didn’t release an album in US.”(Jaejoong)
“Although showcase in US was changed for free as visas rejection,
but we had tremendous responses and a good image as a result.
From now, we never have been to New York for performance
and we had a showcase just by our names.
There were 7000 people to see our showcase
despite the capacity of theater was just 3000.
So we were really moved. Besides there were many kinds of races.
Honestly, at first, we were frustrated many times.
But we could show our music through this opportunity.
We were so happy to come out a good response in Las Vegas and LA.”(Junsu)
◇Recently, JYJ had a break and trip to Gangwon, Choongcheong, Kyungsang provice for a week.
After debut, it was the first time to spend a break together.
“We went to drive together and looked for a delicious food.
We also went to the beach, rode a yacht, had drinking and felt to relax.
After debuting, it was the first time to spend a break together.
It was pretty good.”(Yuchun)
To have a tremendous popularity is much made by Yuchun who played on TV Drama ‘SKKS’.
As he caught popularity, the thirties and fourties women who didn’t know TVXQ & JYJ joined as a their fan.
“I had many fans of middle aged women, but I had much more by Yuchun.
Some of them knew Yuchun is just a new actor. (with smile)”(Junsu)
“The gray-headed old woman is famous for Yuchun’s fan on the internet.
Because of SKKS, she knew him and then came to our concert.
She was stuck on ‘Sunjun’ and knew Yuchun and then became JYJ’s fan.”(Jaejoong)
As Junsu and Jaejoong were admiring about Yuchun’s popularity,
embarrassed Yuchun smiled and told..
“I’ll appear on drama or movie next year.”
Even if they couldn’t walk on shortcut and comfortable road, they advanced continuously, not stopped.
And they’ll meet the new year with a hope.
“Next year, we have a plan to release out concert album,
and want to release the 2nd worldwide album.
In US, the album will be out on January.
And we have a plan to go the Europe tour.”
The C-jes Entertainment as JYJ’s agent told
“We tried to meet Japanese fans soon.
For a while, the part to be discussed is working out.”
JYJ “In the past and in the future, we are TVXQ”
“There are many reasons to separate from SM…
The possibility of reconcilliation is always in their hearts.”
Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu of a group JYJ told “In the past, now and in the future… We are TVXQ.”

We asked them ‘What did TVXQ mean to you?’ They told firmly
“What meant to us is not… We are TVXQ.
Taking our own lines, we can’t tell ‘we are not TVXQ'”
For 7 years, they(Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu) worked as members of the most popular group TVXQ.

JYJ told about the reasons to separate…

Jaejoong said…
“It isn’t the same that the root and cause to come out from ex-company.
Although we had the decision in spite of we were end of our contracts,
it’s hard to explain just one reason and I just can tell too many elements in there.”
After came out from SM, they don’t use the name of group, TVXQ,
and even the name of members’ ‘Hero Jaejoong’, ‘Micky Yuchun’, ‘Xiah Junsu’.
JYJ told..
“We considered the name of team for a long time.
We are also TVXQ, and the rest members are.
And clearly to be 5 together is also TVXQ.
However after came out the company, to use the name of TVXQ is impolite to all people to love TVXQ.
So we named JYJ.”
Now, JYJ and the member of TVXQ don’t connect to each other.
But JYJ have opened up all kinds of possibilities about to reunite TVXQ.
“We passed for one and a half year…
just after came out, we had a connection with two
but at some moment, we couldn’t connect them.
We don’t know why but we have the possibilities to be 5 as TVXQ in our hearts.”
About to release TVXQ’s new album, Junsu said…
“To work again as TVXQ is very celebrating and we hope they’ll be good.
Because we are TVXQ, we’re so glad.”
Jaejoong told..
“Of cource, we got the disappointed in the emotional part
but if they’ll start to work, I think it’s really good.
If they’ll release new album to keep staying the name of TVXQ,
we’re thankful for that.
When we worked together as 5, TVXQ was the best group and big boast to us
so I hope they’ll work well that is true to TVXQ.”
